Our Women’s Wellbeing Program provides women transitioning out of the WISHIN Program, and newcomers, with ongoing support and social connection.
At informal bimonthly gatherings, they get to meet other WISHIN women, participate in activities, improve their confidence and self-esteem, and continue their recovery from trauma.
Women have the opportunity to learn skills, share experiences, develop community and connection which has positive impacts on mental health and wellbeing. Women have the chance to create new choices in their lives towards a positive future.
We provide a range of activities including arts and crafts, personal development explorations, meditation and relaxation, and gentle exercises such as yoga, walking and gardening, as well as social outings.
It’s all aimed at rebuilding confidence, resilience and self-worth and having a great time while we do it.
During 2014–15, the Wellbeing Program was generously supported by Gandel Philanthropy. We are currently seeking funding or sponsorship to help us continue this important work. If you are interested in supporting the program, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
