Donate to WISHIN

WISHIN’s vision is a community where all women and children are safe, empowered and thrive. To achieve this, we partner with women to support their safety, increase their independence and help build their connections.

Donating to WISHIN assists with our current suite of crisis and case management responses to homelessness as well as the development of programs that support long term change for women.

Your generous donations enable us to help some of the most vulnerable women and children in Melbourne’s north.

Together, we can transform lives of trauma and fear into lives of safety and stability.

WISHIN’s Christmas Appeal

WISHIN needs your help to make this Christmas a special one for the kids in our programs, one where they can relax and feel a tiny bit spoilt, just for a day. Please make a donation today so we can buy a Christmas gift the 99 children in our service.

  • $50 could buy a small gift hamper for a family
  • $100 could buy a gift for one child like a pair of roller skates, or a basic camera
  • $500 could buy gifts for a large family as well as something for mum
  • An incredibly generous gift of $1,000 could buy gifts for a couple of families and help us reach our target of $10,000 even faster

Each of the children in our programs are living in poverty. For their mums, Christmas is a choice between presents or food. Your gift will mean these women don’t have to face that choice. It will be one less thing they have to worry about right now. And it will mean these kids don’t feel left out when they hear about the kinds of Christmas other families are having.

Family violence and homelessness can have a big impact on children. Living in a prolonged state of stress affects their social and emotional development. It can even alter the chemistry of their brain, making it harder for them to regulate their emotions and find calm.

Feeling spoilt, having fun, and taking a break from their worries, is exactly what these children need.

Please give to our Christmas appeal today.
